Replication data and code: Embedded Talent Risk — Evidence from Chinese Film and Television

Hand-collected, source-audited dataset of 83 Chinese film and television productionsdisposed of after a reputational, tax, legal, political, or content-policy shock,together with the analysis code. Companion replication materials for the paper"Embedded Talent Risk: How Firms Salvage Finished Creative Assets after ReputationalShocks — Evidence from Chinese Film and Television" (under review). Each case is codedby one researcher and checked against a primary source; 88 of 89 entries carry averifiable source identifier. The code reproduces every quantitative claim in the paper,including the within-person regressions, the (D,R) decomposition, the ex-antemandate/salvage recode, the firm-value event study, and the blind narrative-load-bearingconstruct-validity check.
