This file is a digital geospatial coverage of the land use, aggregated to 48 categories, for the six counties of northeastern Illinois (Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry and Will). It was created by the Northeastern Illinois Planning Commission (NIPC) using traditional aerial photo interpretation from non-rectified 1990 aerial imagery.
