Karajarri Rangers R4/P1 - Bidyadanga Aboriginal Community, WA

This project will: 1) record cultural knowledge around National Heritage List Pearl Shell Beds using Cybertracker; 2) work with Traditional Owners to ensure this knowledge is transferred to Karajarri Youth and recorded in the Karajarri Cultural Database; 3) construct a perimeter fence at Injudinah Spring to exclude livestock and other invasive fauna; 4) conduct a wetland assessment before, during, and after completion of the fence to monitor the overall health of the spring area; 5) conduct regular fence checks to maintain its integrity and to provide a long term exclusion device for livestock and introduced fauna; and 6) carry out 2 hectare surveys for the Greater Bilby (Macrotis lagotis).
