Sclerotinia sclerotiorum is a model necrotrophic pathogen responsible for various plant diseases worldwide. Mutations within its genome can significantly affect fungal growth and pathogenicity. In this study, whole-genome sequencing (WGS) was performed on two strains of S. sclerotiorum with differential sRNA accumulation, aiming to uncover genetic variations that might regulate fungal development and virulence. This study provides insights into the genetic regulation associated with S. sclerotiorum's growth and pathogenicity, offering valuable information for the development of sustainable crop protection strategies.
