Dataset from article : Mental fatigue impairs cycling endurance performance and perception of effort, but not muscle activation

This dataset contains raw and processed electromyography (EMG) data collected during a cycling time-to-exhaustion protocol designed to investigate the effects of mental fatigue on endurance performance, perception of effort, and muscle activation. Seventeen participants completed two experimental sessions under a within-subject design: a cognitive fatigue condition induced by a prolonged Stroop task (TC) and a control condition involving documentary viewing (TF). The dataset includes raw EMG recordings (.c3d format) from ten lower-limb muscles, as well as processed and normalized EMG profiles (.mat format) structured across participants, conditions, muscles, and isotime points. These data enable replication of time-series analyses, including Statistical Parametric Mapping (SPM), and support further investigation into neuromuscular and psychophysiological responses to mental fatigue during dynamic exercise.
