Microbial communities sampled through incubation experiments with river water

This study surveyed the biodiversity of microbial communities related to decomposition of fine particulate organic matters (FPOM) in river ecosystem. FPOM samples were incubated with and without macroinvertebrate and microbes to reveal the effect of biological decomposition. Sequences from the 16S rRNA gene (V3-V4) and 18S rRNA gene (ITS, V9) determined with MiSeq Illumina technology. Data are demultiplexed.
