RNA-seq of fresh apheresis human platelets and freeze dried platelets (Thrombosomes)

To determine the transcriptomic (mRNA and microRNA) content present in fresh apheresis platelets and freeze dried platelets (Thrombosomes) we used RNA-Seq approach. The goal was to determine if the freeze drying process maintained the transcriptomic cargo of the fresh platelets. Overall design: Genome-wide profiling of total RNA transcript levels in human Pletlet and Thrombosomes
