Supporting data for " Antibody response in influenza and COVID-19"

Influenza and severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) are the two major respiratory viruses causing pandemics in the twenty-first century. Influenza, the most prevalent respiratory viral disease, afflicted the world yearly before the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Since COVID-19 emerged at the end of 2019, SARS-CoV-2 has transiently replaced influenza, resulting in an unexpected 3-year pandemic. Both influenza virus and SARS-CoV-2 have led to major surges of hospitalizations, causing a significant burden on the healthcare system. The overall aim of this thesis was to determine the population immunity of our population, which are important in guiding different public health measures.
