SEMANTIC AND ETYMOLOGICAL REPRESENTATION OF THE CONCEPT OF HOMELAND IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK LITERARY WORKS

This article examines the semantic and etymological representation of the concept of “homeland” in English and Uzbek literary works. The notion of homeland is considered an important linguocultural category that reflects national identity, historical memory, and cultural values. The study explores the origin, semantic development, and artistic expression of the concept in both languages through a comparative approach. The findings reveal not only the shared semantic features of the concept but also its culture-specific interpretations in English and Uzbek literature.
