Protection, Restoration and Threat Reduction for the Gondwana World Heritage area

This project will benefit 23 558 hectares of buffer area around the Gondwana World Heritage Area over a five year period. This will be achieved by building on known stakeholder capacity in and motivation towards managing weeds, pest animals and fencing of significant areas. The project will provide information and management tools to stakeholders for appropriate fire use, sustainable grazing, and appropriate public access to sensitive sites. In addition, some support will be provided to ex-situ conservation management with the expectation of increased stakeholder engagement through personal experience of threatened species which are present in the World Heritage Area.
