Oryza sativa Japonica Group Raw sequence reads

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small regulators of gene expression that act on many differentmolecular and biochemical processes in eukaryotes. To date, miRNAs have not been con-sidered in the current evaluation system for GM crops. In this study, small RNAs from thedeveloping seeds of 6 GM rice lines expressing BT, EPSPS genes and 1 non-GM rice cultivars wereinvestigated using deep sequencing technology and bioinformatics approaches. As a result,21 differentially expressed miRNAs in developing seeds were identified and confirmed between GMrice and a non-GM acceptor.
