Beyond Problem Framing: Solutions Journalism Practices in Environmental Reporting—A Mixed-Methods Study of The Hindu and Its Readers

Contains (1) article-level scores (0–5) on four solutions journalism dimensions (Response, Evidence, Insight, Limitation; Solutions Journalism Network) for 222 environmental news articles published in the Chennai edition of The Hindu between January and December 2024; (2) paired scores from two coders for a random reliability subsample of 100 articles and; (3) anonymised responses from an online reader survey (n = 58) with derived dimension scores, perception groups and open-ended answers.
