Phylogeny, biogeography, and the evolution of paternal care in giant water bugs (Hemiptera, Heteroptera, Belostomatidae): a reinterpretation of a classic evolutionary scenario

A routine in R is used to compare different biogeographic models with BioGeoBEARS. This approach incorporates dispersal multiplier matrices and geographic distance matrices for each temporal stratum, thereby capturing changes in geographic distance over time. It includes a matrix of localities inferred by Bioregion. Additionally, a supporting routine enables tree searching in MrBayes.
