PITCH TROUBLE SUPPRESSION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pitch trouble suppression method， that is useful for suppressing/preventing pitch stains in the papermaking process. SOLUTION: The pitch trouble suppression method is a pitch trouble suppression method for controlling the size of a pitch contained in the pulp slurry in the pulping step and/or the preparation step to suppress the occurrence of pitch trouble in the papermaking process， including an oxidizing agent addition step in which an oxidizing agent is added to at least one location pulp slurry in the pulping step and the preparation step so that the average particle size of the pitch contained in the pulp slurry is less than 150 μm， and/or a pitch dispersing agent addition step in which a pitch dispersing agent is added to at least one location pulp slurry in the pulping step and the preparation step.
