Current main school teaching format due to COVID-19 in Italy 2020

As of November 2020, 38 percent of Italian respondents declared to have children whose schools relied exclusively on online teaching. On the other hand, 28 percent of the respondents stated that their children's education took place only in-person. Since many institutions were not prepared for such a fast switch, online classes were not activated uniformly. According to a survey published in March 2020, Emilia-Romagna was the Italian region assuring the largest share of digital classes in the country. However, the situation might have evolved months after the first wave of cases.
