Intrachromosomal amplification of chromosome 21 (iAMP21) results from breakage-fusion-bridge cycles and chromothripsis defines a cytogenetic subgroup of childhood B-cell precursor acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) cases associated with a poor prognosis.
