Live Enterococcus faecium supplementation

The rumen microbiome has a great impact on the productivity and health of the host. Moreover, the rumen microbial composition influences the extent of methane production. Therefore, supplementation with appropriate probiotics can improve the health and productivity of ruminants while mitigating environmental methane production. To this end, the present study was conducted to determine the effects of Enterococcus faecium SROD on in vitro rumen fermentation, methane concentration, and microbial population structure.
