Mangrove data of Advancing Resilience Measures for Vegetated Coastlines (ARM4VEG), Guyana

This collection contains data collected during mangrove-mudflat campaign in Guyana, during the PhD Thesis project of Uwe Best. It is being made public both to act as supplementary data for publications and the final PhD thesis document, as well as to allow for open usage by other researchers in their own work.<br><br>Eleven transects were established within the Chateau Margot mangrove fringe to capture the density, diameter (at heights: 0.1m , 0.5m, 1m, 1.3m, 1.5m, 2m]) and overall height of the trees. For the seedlings, a 1m x 1m quadrant was used at three random locations to count the number of seedlings and pneumatophores, and determine their height and diameter. Salinity and temperature readings were taken at three (3) randomly spaced points within the quadrant.

本数据集收录了乌韦·贝斯特（Uwe Best）博士论文项目期间，在圭亚那开展的红树林滩涂科考活动中采集的全部数据。本次公开本数据集，既可作为相关学术出版物及最终版博士学位论文的补充数据，也可供其他研究人员在其研究工作中开放使用。
研究人员在玛戈堡（Chateau Margot）红树林岸带布设11条样带（transect），以统计林木密度、不同测量高度（0.1m、0.5m、1m、1.3m、1.5m、2m）下的树干直径及植株总高度。针对幼苗，研究人员在3个随机点位设置1m×1m样方（quadrant），统计幼苗与呼吸根（pneumatophores）的数量并测定其高度与直径；同时在每个样方内的3个随机分布点位采集盐度与温度数据。
