Transcriptome sequencing of the breast muscle of Heying Yellow Chicken

By measuring the triglyceride content in the breast muscle of each individual in a natural population of Heying Yellow Chickens, we divided the chickens into high- and low-triglyceride groups based on their triglyceride levels. Transcriptome sequencing was then performed on the breast muscle tissues of these two groups to identify candidate genes potentially associated with triglyceride content. Since triglycerides are the main storage form of intramuscular fat, this approach also indirectly helps uncover candidate genes that may influence intramuscular fat deposition
