Crassostrea gigas response to vibrios

The aim of the present article was to characterize the within-host molecular mechanisms leading to colonization success by two pathogens belonging to two distinct vibrio species of the Splendidus clade. Changes in host physiology were monitored by trnascritome analysis. Pathogenic processes were compared between two strains representative of the species V. crassostreae and V. tasmanienis respectively, using phylogenetically-related non-virulent strains as controls.
