Provincial distribution dataset of liverworts in China

China has the richest resources of moss plants and is one of the modern distribution and differentiation centers of moss plants in the world. Specimen data is an important component of geographic distribution research. The excavation of specimen data has been carried out among different populations, but there is currently no relevant research on moss specimen data. This study takes the collection information of digital moss specimens in China as the research object, and uses provincial administrative divisions as the basic unit to analyze the collection status and completeness of moss specimens in China. In addition, based on climate data, the geographical distribution of moss plants in China was studied, providing a theoretical basis for the protection of liver moss diversity and further management and utilization of plant resources. (1) List of Chinese Moss Herbarium; (2) Statistics and analysis of the collection of moss specimens from various disciplines in China; (3) Statistics and analysis of specimens of various genera of mosses in China; (4) Prediction of moss distribution in China under current climate conditions. This dataset is helpful for conducting surveys, diversity research, and comprehensive conservation of moss plants, as well as for studying the distribution patterns of large-scale biodiversity and the impact of global change on diversity.
