D'Ario_et_al_2021_simulations

This dataset contains scripts and supporting tables used in numerical and ODE simulations shown in the manuscript:D'Ario,M., Tavares, R., Schiessl, K., Desvoyes, B., Gutierrez, C., Howard, M. and Sablowski, R. Science 372: 1176-1181, DOI:10.1126/science.abb4348<br>The folder experimental_data contains tables with data on cell division asymmetry, cellular growth rates, rates of KRP4 synthesis and variation in KRP4 levels before mitosis. These tables were produced from confocal images using image analysis scripts available here: dx.doi.org/10.6084/m9.figshare.14529372<br>The scripts numerical_simulations.py and ODE_simulations were written in Python 2.7; functions are imported from scipy, numpy and matplotlib. To run the simulations and generate figures, the functions are pasted from the scripts into a Python terminal, following the instructions annotated on the scripts. Parameter values and paths are defined within the scripts. Simulated cell data, statistical analysis and graphs produced by the scripts are placed in the simulations_output folder.
