MODERN APPROACHES TO THE TREATMENT OF DENTOFACIAL ANOMALIES USING BRACKET SYSTEMS

This article highlights modern approaches to the treatment of dentofacial anomalies using bracket systems. Orthodontic anomalies adversely affect not only the aesthetic alignment of the dentition but also masticatory function, phonetics, periodontal structures, and oral hygiene. The study examines the clinical characteristics, indications, diagnostic workflows, and therapeutic phases of metallic, ceramic, lingual, and self-ligating bracket systems, alongside their biomechanical principles, oral hygiene protocols, potential complications, and retention management. Furthermore, the role of contemporary digital orthodontic workflows—including intraoral scanning and three-dimensional (3D) treatment planning—is comprehensively evaluated.
