The purpose of this book is for the visiting justice to record a brief report at the conclusion of each visit. The visits occurred once a month roughly. Information recorded includes the number of prisoners seen; the number of requests; the number of complaints; and the number of matters dealt with. The reports are handwritten and signed by the visiting justice.
