资源简介:
This project seeks to uncover the genetic basis of sexual dimorphism in Sirex Noctilio, a woodwasp species, by conducting a detailed transcriptomic analysis of 12 diverse samples with replications. The study encompasses six key body parts: antennae, head, thorax, abdomen, legs, and external genitalia, for both male and female individuals. Our analysis aims to identify genes associated with unique olfactory responses that may be influenced by sexual and tissue-specific differences. This comprehensive dataset will facilitate a deeper understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying sex-specific gene expression patterns and their role in the biology and ecology of Sirex Noctilio. The findings are expected to be instrumental for researchers in the fields of insect physiology, evolution, and pest management strategies.
