rBC2LCN lectin detects early-stage HER2-positive breast cancer

We found that MCF-7 and T-47D or MDA-MB-157 and MDA-MB-231 are rBC2LCN-positive or -negative breast cancer cell lines, respectively. To examine a global gene expression comparison between the rBC2LCN-positive and -negative breast cancer cell lines, DNA microarray analysis was performed. Breast carcinoma cell lines, MCF7 (HTB-22), T-47D (HTB-133), MDA-MB-157 (HTB-24), and MDA-MB-231 (HTB-26) were obtained from ATCC and maintained according to the provider’s instructions. The total mRNAs were extracted using ISOGEN (NIPPON GENE). DNA microarray was performed by a SurePrint G3 Human GE Microarray Kit, 8 x 60 K Ver. 1 (Agilent, G4851A).
