Collection of the sponge Isodyctia bentarti for the analysis of the microbiota. A total of 16 individuals were obtained (3 as control of the medium, 3 as control of the aquarium and 10 individuals for the heat shock experiment. These individuals were subjected to an increase of 5ºC in temperature for 48 h.
18 water samples were collected from 5 locations on Livingston Island (Hanna Point, near Johnson Glacier, Mid Bay, in front of Bae, and in front of Miers Bluff) to analyze bacterial and viral communities. Six water samples were taken at the same point on the island (center of the bay) with different methodologies to evaluate the concentration method for bacterial communities. A total of 35 Pyropia algae samples were collected (5 samples from 7 locations).
