Biochar metaanalysis dataset

This set includes those data used for the publication “Biederman LA, Harpole WS. 2013. Biochar and its effects on plant productivity and nutrient cycling: a meta-analysis. <i>Global Climate Change – Bioenergy</i> 5: 202-214”. The final analysis did NOT include those studies that used activated charcoal, but since we have those data they are included here. Similarly, other information was not used in our analysis, but is included here. Please feel free to contact me with questions. Lori Biederman ([e-mail]).<br>This excel file contains 4 spreadsheets. "Data key" contains the descriptions of columns in the remaining three. "Study information" contains the citation information for the studies used in the analysis. "Data" contains the main data used in the main analysis of biochar's effect on plant and soil. "Extra" contains information about the biochar or study sites that may contribute to the results. Again, not all of these data were used in the final publication, but since they were extracted from the studies we report them here.<br>
