Stored product mite Tyrophagus putrescentiae is an important agricultural pest. The mite is inhabited by intracellular symbionts Cardinium and Wolbachia. In the manipulative experiment, we mixed Cardinium and Wolbachia inhabited cultures to prepare the cultures with both symbionts (Cardinium and Wolbachia). These populations were sampled. The RNA samples were sequenced and deposited.
