Non-canonical NK-cell activation and killing pathway via GPI-anchored proteins in B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia

This study investigates NK-cell interactions with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) cells, focusing on resistance to NK-cell-mediated killing. Using a prolonged cytotoxicity assay, researchers identified multiple NK-cell cytotoxic pathways, including a previously unknown granule exocytosis-independent, death receptor-independent, contact-dependent mechanism.
