Numerical simulations of ocean surface waves along the Australian coast with a focus on the Great Barrier Reef: Dataset

This archive contains the dataset used in eight WAVEWATCH III simulations. The SRTM15+ bathymetric dataset was sourced from https://doi.org/10.5069/G92R3PT9. The ERA5, CFSv2, and BARRA reanalysis winds were sourced from the ECMWF (https://cds.climate.copernicus.eu/datasets/reanalysis-era5-single-levels?tab=download), NCEP (https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/access/metadata/landing-page/bin/iso?id=gov.noaa.ncdc:C00877), and NCI (https://thredds.nci.org.au/thredds/catalog/catalogs/cj37/BARRA/BARRA_R/BARRA_R.html). The ACCESS-OM2 v1.0 currents were sourced from https://thredds.nci.org.au/thredds/catalog/cj50/access-om2/raw-output/access-om2-01/01deg_jra55v140_iaf/catalog.html. Both the altimeter and buoy data were downloaded from the Australian Ocean Data Network (AODN; https://portal.aodn.org.au/search). The global dataset of warm-water coral reefs was obtained from https://data.unep-wcmc.org/datasets/1.  The tidal elevation and currents were taken from FES2014 (https://www.aviso.altimetry.fr/en/data/products/auxiliary-products/global-tide-fes/description-fes2014.html, and https://github.com/CNES/aviso-fes).
