Bathymetric surveys of the nearshore submarine platforms around Favreau Pillar, Kirstensen Rocks and near Foyn and Possession Islands

A brief bathymetric survey of the platforms around Favreau Pillar, Kirstensen Rocks and near Foyn and Possession Islands was made using a zodiac inflatable dinghy and a small portable echosounder. These were to collect data on the characteristics of nearshore submarine platforms, which appear to form an important part of coastal sediment transport paths. Observations through the crystal clear water and depths were also recorded.
