Transcriptome sequencing raw data of differentially expressed genes between zmzfp2-ems and B73

To investigate the gene expression changes associated with ZmZFP2, we performed RNA-seq on 8 DAP kernels of the zmzfp2-ems mutant and the B73. A total of 266 upregulated and 1156 downregulated transcripts were identified in the zmzfp2-ems mutant compared to B73, suggesting that ZmZFP2 exerts a predominantly positive effect on gene expression. Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) enrichment analysis of the differentially expressed genes revealed their involvement in organic metabolism, compound biosynthesis, and various signaling pathways. The data have already been deposited in the NCBI Sequence Read Archive, accession number: PRJNA970054 (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sra/PRJNA970054).
