Combined effect of oil from the surface (OFS) exposure and temperature on developing heart in mahi-mahi

The aim of this study was to investigate the combined effect of oil from the surface (OFS) high energy water accommodated fraction (HEWAF) exposure and chronic temperature (26 and 30°C) on heart developing of mahi-mahi. Five HEWAF concentrations were tested, 0.5%, 1%, 2%, 4% and 8% OFS HEWAF (100%=oil loading at 1g/L). Viable eggs were exposed 24 hours and then transferred in clean sea water until 48 hpf. Cardiac assessment (heart rate, stroke volume, cardiac output, cardiac morphology) were made in hatched-larvae (48h).
