X-rays are excellent tracers of stellar accretion in young stars. Whilst theaccretion process is generally thought to take anywhere between $sim$5-10Myrlarge gaps remain in our understanding of how accretion ends and studying theX-ray accretion diagnostics of young low-mass stars is vital to test varioustheories of how stars disks and their planets evolve. We propose a modest 10ksfor an {it XMM-Newton EPIC/pn} pointing for TWA 33: a nearby mid M-dwarfrecently discovered in the 10 Myr TW Hya Moving Group whose accreting status isunknown and yet to be observed in X-rays. These observations easily providebasic X-ray properties (X-ray luminosity coronal and accretion shocktemperatures) and will motivate a future campaign to acquire X-ray spectroscopy if accretion is detected.
