Inventory of Crevasse Locations on Austrian Glaciers

This inventory includes the boundaries of glacier crevasses for all Austrian glaciers, divided into six major mountain regions: Dachstein, Zillertal Alps, Hohe Tauern, Ötztal, Stubai and Silvretta. Crevasses were delineated from optical aerial imagery covering the years 2019 to 2022, with a spatial resolution of 20 cm, at the end of the ablation season, using a multi-task neural network. Crevasses hidden below snow bridges remain at higher elevations.
