MASTERMINE – Research Vision Component Dataset and Results (Analysis of EU research projects concerning mining activities)

MASTERMINE – Research Vision Component (EU Mining Research Projects Database) Purpose This dataset provides a comprehensive view of European research projects related to mining activities. It enables replication of analyses presented in the Research Vision component of the Socialmine platform in the framework of the MASTERMINE project. The results of the analysis are presented in the following link: SocialMine Research Vision Source CORDIS open database (European Commission) Extraction date The extraction date is embedded in the SQL dump filename provided with the dataset. The data includes projects from 2014 to 2025. Data content The dataset consists of a relational PostgreSQL database including: Research projects Participating organisations Countries and regions Topics and thematic classifications Linking tables connecting projects, organisations, and topics Processing steps Extraction of relevant records from CORDIS Normalisation into a relational database schema Packaging as a PostgreSQL dump for reproducibility Usage The dataset can be deployed locally using Docker Compose and PostgreSQL, as described in the accompanying documentation. Limitations Data reflect information as reported in CORDIS at the time of extraction Updates to project information after extraction are not included
