In data preprocessing, in order to ensure statistical effects, participants should not choose too few instances of honesty or deception among all trials (Shuster&Levy, 2020; Zheltyakova & Kireev, 2020)。 According to previous literature, this experiment included data from subjects with deception rates between 10% and 90%, and excluded data with deception rates less than 10% or greater than 90%. In data processing and presentation, the average of the two probabilities of participants switching from the right option to the left option in the lottery task is recorded as their true belief (Ptrue).
