The Excel file from this entrance comprises data used in Auestad & Rydgren's “Keep mowing: Predictions show that successful grassland restoration depends on post-restoration management ”. It includes data on species composition from the restoration of semi-natural grasslands in Western Norway and the results from the GNMDS ordination. The Excel file consists of five sheets: 1. Metadata a. This sheet provides metadata information. 2. Species abbreviations a. This sheet provides information about the abbreviated names and the full taxa names. 3. Rawdta_species_x_plot a. This sheet includes the raw data of the taxa × plots. The numbers are subplot frequency (0–16) as a measure of the abundance of vascular species in each plot. 4. Gnmds results_Early a. This sheet presents the plot scores from the 3-dimensional GNMDS solution of the Early data set (377 plots × 98 species). 5. Gnmds results_Total a. This sheet presents the plot scores from the 3-dimensional GNMDS solution of the Total data set (425 plots × 100 species).
