Involve Australia, Guidelines for Community Involvement in Genomic Research

These are guidelines for genomic researchers in Australia on how best to involve community members effectively and meaningfully in research. Genomic research brings with it complex ethical, legal, and social implications, such as high levels of unmet need for people living with genetic conditions, including access to therapies and treatments such as precision medicine and gene therapy, and palliative care. Each of these areas will benefit from the lens of lived experience in the equitable and responsible implementation of research.
