资源简介:
Mycobacterium xenopi is a slow-growing, scotochromogenic, thermophilic Mycobacterium species. It was first reported by Schwabacher et al. in 1959, having been isolated in lesions found on a Xenopus laevis, and then the possibility of human infection was confirmed in 1965. M. xenopi is a leading cause of non-tuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) lung disease mainly in Europe, second only to the Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC). So far, the course of treatment for this NTM varies by countries and the standard treatment regimen is not determined. Here we report the complete genome sequence of M. xenopi type strain JCM 15661T, helping us to understand the pathogenic features of it.
