LIKE-A-PRO WP8-T8.2.- P28-LA_Dataset_Potential allerginicity screening
收藏资源简介:
This dataset compiles the results generated from the potential allergenicity assessment performed within the LIKE-A-PRO project to support the safety evaluation of 12 Alternative Protein Ingredients (APIs) and 16 Finished Products (FPs). The assessment followed a weight-of-evidence approach combining three complementary methodologies: (i) a literature review and in silico protein homology analysis (BLASTp) to identify potential sequence similarities with known food allergens, (ii) in vitro ELISA cross-reactivity screening targeting four mandatory food allergens (peanut, mustard, lupin and crustacean proteins), and (iii) a functional β-hexosaminidase release assay using RBL-2H3 cells to evaluate basophil-like cell activation and degranulation potential. The dataset includes raw and processed data from sequence similarity analyses, allergen cross-reactivity measurements, intracellular and extracellular β-hexosaminidase levels, degranulation percentages, control responses and statistical evaluations. Overall, the results indicate that none of the tested APIs or FPs induced significant basophil-like activation under the applied experimental conditions, while selected source- and product-specific ELISA cross-reactivity signals were identified and considered relevant for allergen risk management and labelling purposes. These data provide valuable screening-level evidence to support the safety assessment and regulatory evaluation of alternative protein ingredients and products
