In this study, streptozotocin-induced diabetic mice were treated with vancomycin (T1DV) to disturb the gut microbiota for 7 weeks. Then, we transferred fecal material from healthy donor mice (COND) to T1DV recipients for 14 days. During fecal microbiota transplantation, faecal samples were collected at 0, 7 and 14 days and analyzed by using a 16S rRNA gene sequencing approach to examine changes in the gut microbiome.
