Study of the Date Palm Microbiome and Isolation of Biocontrol Agents for Whole Genome Sequencing and Transcriptomic Studies

The aim of this project is to study the microbiome of date palm between healthy and bayoud-infected but also between scusceptible and resistant cultivars. Furthermore, we isolated associated biocontrol agents (BCAs) that were effective in controlling the bayoud pathogen Fusarium oxysporum f.sp albedinis. The molecular features associated to the secretion of antimicrobial compounds of these BCAs were investigated by whole Genome Sequencing and Transcriptomic studies.
