Transcriptome and metabolome analysis reveal the mechanism of key nutrient formation in Hainan oil-Camellia(Camellia hainanica) growth cycle

Oil-camellia is one of the four main woody edible oil-bearing crops in the world. Hainan oil-camellia (Camellia hainanica, HOC) is a newly discovered tropical decaploid oil-camellia species in Hainan, China, which can produce a much higher quality camellia oil named locally as 'Shanyou oil'.
