Mariam Salsa' (102 years old from Beit Sahour) interviewed by Maha al-Sleibi on 14 July 2005. <br><br>She discusses the following: military conscription during World War I; locust plague and the year of drought in 1916; the 6-month strike; life at the Rosary School under the British Mandate.<br><br>Original audio recording: cassette tape. <br>Transcript: word for word. <br>In the original collection at Bethlehem University this cassette tape was categorised as File 2 of Box 12. <br><br>This fileset exists as part of the Ottoman Empire and World War I collection within the Bethlehem University Oral History project of the Planet Bethlehem Archive.<br>
