Staphylococcus xylosus can cause skin and soft tissue infections, respiratory tract infections, etc., and it also poses hazards to the food industry. It is a common food contaminant bacterium that can grow and reproduce in a variety of foods such as meat, dairy products, and eggs. In addition, it can infect some edible fungi and form biofilms.
