Scholarship Funding Systems, Educational Access, and Applicant Barriers in Developing Economies: A PRISMA-ScR Scoping Review

This repository contains the complete research archive for a PRISMA Extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR) study examining scholarship funding systems, educational access, and applicant barriers across developing economies. The review synthesises evidence from 150 included sources identified through the systematic screening of 5,037 records. The objective is to map the current evidence landscape on scholarship funding, funding mechanisms, access barriers, and patterns affecting applicants from developing regions. The archive has been prepared to support transparency, reproducibility, and secondary research. It includes the final manuscript, supplementary appendix, PRISMA search strategy, screening documentation, master reference library, data extraction tables, quality and evidence assessment, regional evidence dossiers, figures, repository documentation, and version history. The Open Science Framework (OSF) repository serves as the canonical version of record and is available through DOI: 10.17605/OSF.IO/T63E4.
