Genomic and metabolic basis of functional quality traits diversification in Citrus

In this study, we conducted a comprehensive metabolomic analysis of the flavedo of 300 citrus accessions. Through activity evaluation experiments, we selected citrus varieties with prominent biological activities, and analyzed the relationships between biological activities and metabolites. The followed mGWAS analysis identified a series of candidate genes related to the synthesis of bioactive components in citrus, determined genetic factors for natural metabolic variation of citrus population.
