Umbellularia californica (California bay) is a member of threatened mixed evergreen woodlands in the North and South Coast Ranges and the Sierra Nevada - Cascade Mountains extending north into Oregon. These ecosystems are predicted to be among the most threatened by increased aridity under climate change. They are also some of the most impacted ecosystems through increased urbanization and land conversion. These data have been produced as part of the CCGP. Sequencing was conducted with HiFi Pacific Biosciences long reads at UCDavis Genome Core, Dovetail's OmniC libraries, and Illumina sequencing at UCBerkeley QB3 Genomics Core.
